Belafae Johnson was born in Frankfort, Germany. His father served in the United States Army, and their military life took the family to various states across the U.S., though Belafae ultimately calls St. Louis, Missouri, his home.
In 1999, while studying at Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville, Belafae met his future wife, Tamika. The couple married in November 2002 and now have four children: Deion, Jarred, Jordan, and Bella, and one granddaughter, Dalani.
In 2014, feeling called to ministry, Belafae and his family moved to Mascoutah, Illinois, to plant a church. In April 2018, Purposed Church officially launched, with Belafae serving as the Planter and Lead Pastor.
Belafae is deeply committed to faith, family, and fostering spiritual growth, dedicating his life to helping others discover their God-given purpose.
