FAQs: Frequently Asked Questions

QUESTION: What should we expect?

ANSWER: At Metro you'll find a high energy band, friendly families, a relaxed environment, great kid's programs, and relevant messages designed to help you deal with real life issues.  These messages are given in every day language and you'll be able to use what you learn each week.  We want to help you pursue your personal spiritual journey at your own pace.

QUESTION: What should I wear?

ANSWER: We don't care what you wear!  We just want to get to know you.  So, dress casually and you'll fit right in.  We believe God is more concerned about your attitude than your appearance anyway, so leave the formal Sunday clothes in the closet and come prepared to enjoy the service.

QUESTION: Do people come to Metro who

are new to church or have not been in a while?

ANSWER:  Yes - many.  If you're new to the God scene we are so excited to have you join us  This is a place where everyone is welcome.  Come hang out with us, and take as much time as you need on this journey of discovering and connecting with God.  Ask the hard questions.  You'll find you can belong here even before you believe.

QUESTION: Will I have to speak, sing, or give money?

ANSWER: We promise not to embarrass you or put you on the spot!  You may participate in worship if you choose to, but there's no obligation.  In fact, as a guest, you are encouraged not to give to the offering, but rather enjoy the service as our gift to you.  We don't want your money.  When it's time for the offering, our Metro families are given the opportunity to invest in the lives of everyone who walks through the doors at Metro.  As our guests we want you to sit back, relax, and let your wallet relax, too.

QUESTION: Is there something for my kids to do?

ANSWER: Absolutely!  We know that your kids are looking for a place that rocks!  And the last thing you want to be concerned about is whether or not your kids are safe while you are at church.  We've invested a lot to make sure that both goals are reached.  We want ADVENTURELAND (babies through grade 6) to be the best hour of the week for your kids.  We also have a Middle School and High School experience called FUSION every Sunday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.

QUESTION:  Why a Café?

ANSWER:  We wanted to design a welcoming place where you can hang out, drink a soda or latté, meet people, make new friends, and maybe even have some thought provoking spiritual conversations.
